Slovakia will oppose a ban on Russian gas imports to the EU, the head of the republic's parliamentary committee on international affairs, Marian Carey, told Izvestia.
"We will never agree to the end of gas transit from Russia to Europe. We, Slovakia, are in a difficult position because we are landlocked <...>. We hope that gas transit through Ukraine will resume," Marian Carey told Izvestia.
Earlier Bloomberg wrote that a group of ten EU countries proposed to ban imports of pipeline gas and LNG from Russia.
