HONOR выявила, что каждый восьмой русский использует простые пароли

Исследование HONOR показало, что один из восьми русских использует простые пароли, таких как ''admin'', что делает их уязвимыми для хакеров. Почти 30% респондентов уже сталкивались с взломами. Эксперт Артём Геллер рекомендует не хранить пароли на компьютере.

Recent research has revealed that one in every eight русских uses extremely simple passwords such as admin or qwerty, making their accounts an easy target for hackers. According to the survey results:

12% of citizens employ the most primitive combinations, another 8.3% use their name, surname, or a pet's nickname, reports NEWS.ru citing the HONOR study.

In contrast, 37.4% select a complex, random combination of symbols, and 20.4% opt for a compromise by substituting letters with numbers in meaningful words. The majority (59%) rely on their memory for password retention:

29.3% prefer to write them down, 22.9% use autofill features, the remaining participants store them in phone notes and computer files.

Almost a third (29.9%) of respondents have experienced account hacking, and 26.6% have noticed suspicious login attempts. Only 43.5% have never had their accounts compromised.

Earlier, IT expert and chief developer of the Kremlin.ru website, Artyom Geller, advised against storing passwords on a computer.
